Lurie Children’s Hospital recognized as CCM Clinical Center

Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago has been recognized as a designated Clinical Center by the Alliance to Cure Cavernous Malformation for the treatment of cavernous malformations.

Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, is a comprehensive healthcare facility that provides specialized care for a broad spectrum of pediatric patients. Lurie Children’s is proud to be recognized for several additional awards, accolades, and achievements. In the 2023-24 U.S. News World Report rankings of the Best Children’s Hospitals, Lurie Children’s continues to be the top children’s hospital in Illinois, ranking in 9 specialties. Additionally, they are honored to be recognized on Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Children’s Hospitals 2023.

Dr. Sandi Lam, a Pediatric Cerebrovascular Neurosurgeon, will be the Director of the new CCM Clinical Center at Lurie Children’s. Dr. Lam’s background includes staff and faculty appointments at the University of Chicago, Texas Children’s, Baylor, and Northwestern University. She is a strong supporter of the collaborative, multispecialty approach to patient and family care.
